Hi,

I'm just wondering if someone could provide me with some info.

I just purchased a Nikon D80 yesterday, my first SLR camera. I'm a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to new products and always give them a thorough looking over when I get them.

I noticed if I shake the camera I hear a noise as if something is rattling inside. It's a faint noise only, but something I can't put my finger on.

Is this just one of the cameras moving parts or something? Is it normal?

Thanks for any help in advance!

Robert

This is normal. It's the device that detects if you are holding the camera in portrait or landscape position.
