Hi everyone my name is Brandon. I'm new to this forum and pretty new to photography. I've been learning the basics and been researching around. I've decided to go with the D80 and I was wondering if anyone knew of a good, reliable, and CHEAP place to get the kit (body and lens).

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Brandon

Hey Brandon,

Try buydig.com or beachcamera.com They have been really good to deal with.

As Divertwo states, I've purchased from BuyDig.com (Nikon 8800), and had excellent service, no regrets. I purchased my D80 on eBay, from CametaAuctions (Or, CametaCamera, I can't be 100% sure, and eBay is blocked here at work, so I can't check, sorry). They sell LOTS of kits, are an authorized dealer, and I've ordered 2 cameras from them. If you look at their auctions closely, you can find one with just the body, lens, and a 4 Gb. card, and a few "freebies" for a VERY low price. Don't get a package that has lens cleaners, photo bag, etc. etc., unless you really, really need it. Good luck!

The cheapest deals aren't usually the best deals. Anyone who is selling the camera for more than 10-15% under most retailers and is located in Brooklyn, is probably a rip off artist. Stick with reputable dealers like B&H, Adorama, Buydig, KEH etc. Use www.resellerratings.comto check out the reputation of potential retailers.

Thanks everyone for the info. I'm in the U.S. I'm not too crazy about ebay but I am familiar with beach. I'll let everyone know what I went with after I make the purchase.

Thanks again,

Brandon

Does anyone possibly have a product code/coupon for the D80?
