Go get it. You won't regret it. I bought my D40 for a trip to Liverpool and London and boy am I glad I pulled the trigger. 2 months later D40x was announced but I'm still enjoying my D40 very much especially paired with the 18-200 VR. Have a good trip and happy shooting.

I couldn't wait. I boxed up all five of my Minolta film bodies and assorted lenses in the closet and picked up my Nikon D-40X kit. I haven't looked back. This is the best photography investment I've made in years and years. [glow=orange]GO FOR IT...GET YOURS TODAY!!!![/glow]

When the bug bites, it bites hard, eh? My D40 arrived on the 15th, and on the 21st I ordered a 55-200mm zoom, which arrived this past Monday. I'm enjoying the daylights out of this thing too!
