Default d1x sharpness

i shoot raw in the d1x and get inconsistent sharpness in my shots...i read lots of forums and the wedding shooters shoot lots of fuji s2...do you guys/gals shoot in raw or jpeg?...do you have to work lots to get them sharp?...i thinking of switching to the s2 but not sure...any advice?

thanks

I use a D100 and when going for the best quality RAW is the way. And then some sharping in photoshop (unsharp mask or the hard way via high pass filter).

Since the light sensor in the camera uses an Anti Aliasing filter to get rid of moire and such artifacts, the pictures cant be sharp down to the last pixel. If you see inconsistencies it is probably because of the lenses you use?
