you have 2 methods
1- the battery power wasting method of direct hookup of camera to computer which reqs the camera to be on.
2- inexpensive cf reader (~$20) to computer. faster, less power consumption.

you generally dump all the pictures off the card and review and eliminate the ones that don't make the grade.

reformat the card in the camera. it takes about 20 seconds.
then your ready for your next batch award winning shots.

do yourself a favor and read the camera manual when you get it. it will save you a lot of typing on the forum. after that you will have a general idea of what we're referring to.

You can also use a PC MCIA slot in a PC / laptop and access the memory card as a disk drive.
