Picked up my D300 about a month ago and I really love this camera.

I've had Nikon film gear in the past ....it was time to move on to digital SLR...glad I did!

Just thought I'd share a sampling of my latest stuff.:?

Great shots.

What was the location? Seems a great place to live/vacation.

Lens?

According to the poster Avatar, Melbourne is right next to Merrit Island where there's a large national wildlife refuge (and NASA Cape Canaveral)... I believe the lens used was a Nikkor 70-300mm VR

-> Very nice images indeed

Thanks All,

The Merritt Island Wildlife refuge is about 25 miles form my house. It's located right near Cape Canaveral.

I have several shots from there as well, these were taken in West Brevard county at a place called the Viera Wetlands.

Tons and tons of wildlife to shoot!

These particular (wildlife) pics were taken with Nikkor VRII 70-300 lens. I also break out the Sigma 500mm for long range stuff.

I didn't see the "post pictures" forum at first so I'll be adding more pics over there.

Thanks again! Cool forum!
