Hi All-

Can the sensor cleaner be turned off on the camera so it dosen't activate each time the camera is powered-up?

Thanks-

Robes

Go to the Setup Menu, choose Clean Image Sensor. There are several options including to turn it off.

Really, there's no reason to turn it off. Even when it runs on start up, it's finished in the time it would take you to lift the camera to your eye and focus it. I've never missed a shot with it on. It also seems to work pretty well, and running it at start up, may save a dust bunny from showing up in your shot. It won't prevent you from eventually needing your sensor cleaned, but I think turning it completely off is a mistake. Also, you can set it up to run at shutdown as well if you're worried about running it at startup. Personally, I have it set to run at start up and at shutdown.

Good to hear that, I wasn't sure if it would actually affect start-up time or not.
