Default D100 Firmware

I am seriously considering purchasing a D100. I noticed on Ebay, many of the D100's offered indicate firmware version2.0. Is this new from the original release of the camera? Second, is it possible to update the firmware after purchasing the camera?

Default Re: D100 Firmware

To answer you directly, "yes" and "yes"...

2.0 is more or less current (I think there is a 2.1 but my recollection is that the change was a very small bug fix that doesn't affect me). As to upgrading, I have to confess that I have not done it (mine came with 2.0), but having read reports from those who have, it doesn't sound like it is much of a job at all...

I hope this helps!

The camera needs to be sent in to update the firmware, you can not do it at home.
