Default Message in D80 control display

I get a message in my D80 control display - r09 - that indicates how many shots I have left in the buffer. It appears everytime I press the shooting button half way down. This is new.

How do I get rid of it? What should I be doing about it?

Appreciate some help.

You really don't have to do anything about it. It is completely normal and not any cause for concern.
