Default Nikon 55-200m Photo Sample

Hi Richard-

Here is a photo taken with the Nikon 55-200mm lens. It is the standard 55-200mm lens, not the Nikon 55-200 mm VR lens which I have out on loan right now.

So because I did not have the advantage of VR I increased the ISO up to 1600 to increase the shutter speed.

Thank You sarah. Great Detail. Much Appreciated.
Did U see the recall on certain D5000,s. Mine is working great, and im hoping the problem is not with my Camera batch. The problem relates to the on off switch.

Yes, Richard-

I did indeed see the D-5000 on-off switch recall notice. We will not know until 07/23 what serial numbers are actually affected.

I am glad that I could help out with the Nikon 55-200 mm lens photo for you. Good luck, Richard, you will love the lens. It is an excellent buy.

Default Thanks

Much Appreciated Sarah. I am waiting for my Lady from the camera shop to come back from vacation. She offered me the 55-200 for $300+tax. I think that is a good deal here.
Richard.

Richard-

You must be in Canada. The Nikon 55-200 mm lens here in the USA is selling for $(USA) 200.00 to 230.00.

Hi Richard. You might also look on Craig's list. I sold my 55-200 VR that was nearly new for $250. I sold it because we were going on a trip to Europe and I did not want to have to change lenses all the time. My husband gave me the 18-200 VR for Christmas. I might have put convenience over quality but I am very happy. Actually there were several 55-200 on Craig's list here in Vancouver. I think if you meet the person you are buying from and check the equipment you can generally tell if equipment has been taken care of. Just a thought.

Shari-

Actually the Nikon 18-200 mm lens is indeed a very creditable lens, when used on the correct camera. It was a dud on my Nikon D-40, but it came alive and looked great on my D-40X, and looked even better on the Nikon D-5000 camera which I just returned due to the ON-OFF switch recall.
