Default Can older Nikon Speedlights be used with D100?

I have an SB-26 which works great on my F100 with all functions available. Can I expect the same on the D100? I've read some reviews that lead me to think that only the newer DX flash units will work. What's the real story?

No, none of the older Nikon speedlights can be used with D100 in TTL mode. The reason is simple. Nikon DSLR cameras only support the new D-TTL (and the even newer i-TTL) mode rather than the traditional TTL mode. However, you certainly can use your SB-26 on D100 in the Auto or Manual mode.
