Default Opteka vertical grip for nikon d3000

Hey Everyone,

I am looking for a vertical grip for my camera. I have the nikon d3000. I read that they do not have an actual nikon one out for this but i found this on amazon and it says it will fit the d3000 but i am still skeptical. But i also know that tit is the replacment for the d40 so it could possibly fit. does anyone know anything about this before i purchase it? Thanks!

I have one with my two Nikon D5000 and it works great. You can run two batteries and get 1,000+ shots.
Another nice feature is the tilting LCD don't always work properly with tripods, but with the battery grip, it works properly because of the added clearance.
Another feature is where most cameras you have to take the camera off the tripod to change the battery. This one you don't. IF you use up the 1,000+ shots and battery runs low, it opens from the rear so it can stay on the tripod. Nice!
