Default Nikon D5000 shots! Please comment!

Hello!
Im a newbie D5000 owner. I took some shots today, and I would like to hear what you think about them.

He used a Nikkor 18-70mm f/3.5-4.5 from what I can tell. Super lens (one of the best kit lenses Nikon has ever produced -- mostly used as a kit lens with the D70/D70s models). It's not offered that way with current Nikon dSLRs. So, the OP probably bought it separately (or already had it with a previous camera).

Thats right. Its the 18-70 DX lens. I have had mixed feelings about it, but after today I decided its a keeper. Its the only lens I have right now, but Im gonna get a Nikon 55-200 VR, a 16-85 VR and a 35mm/1,8G too.

That lens has the lowest CA of about any lens you can buy with it's focal range (i.e., lower purple fringing than other similar lenses). Of course, it's also a brighter lens than most lenses with it's focal range (18-70mm). I would not be in a hurry to replace it. ;-)
