Default Upside to the D2h

5.2MB/s write speed for NEF's!!! Now we're getting somewhere! Doesn't mean I'll buy the camera, I'm just happy Nikon upped the ante in CF writing. Let's see other manufacturers implement the same, if not better, write speed.

They are certainly going to have to. As the size of the picture goes up (and it almost always will) they have to increase throughput to keep up with the FPS (or put MASSIVE buffers in.... they could do that, but I'm sure there is a cost/benefit tradeoff there.)

The only thing that saves the Canon 10D is that it has a 9 picture buffer. If you take 2-3 picture bursts with some pauses it will be fine, but once you fill that buffer its slow write speed kicks in and it starts to drag.
