Default Dust inside Lens

I have a D200, been shotting with it ever since it was out. I recently notice there are some dust on the inside of the outter (exterior lens). Not sure how it got in there in the first place, but if there any way to get it out? Anyone ever taken a lens apart?

The service department of any decent camera store should be able to clean it for you.

If it doesn't affect image quality (which it probably doesn't) I wouldn't worry about. Zoom lenses tend to suck air in and out of the lens when changing focal lengths, so it's not surprising that dust would eventually end up in the lens body.

Yup, it doesn't seem to show up in my photos. I tried to look for it, but didn't really see any. So, I guess I will wait till it shows up and take it into service. Just wondering, how much would a cleaning like that cost?

I doubt that it ever will. Even scratches on the front element likely will not show up in your images. Take a look at this article http://www.lensrentals.com/news/2008...ment-scratches
