Default Nikon d50 switch on-off problems

My Nikon D50 is presenting a rare problem with the Switch on-off button. When I turn the camera Off, it remains On, and it delays some seconds to turn off. When the camera is Off, I pass very gently mi finger over the switch on-off button and the camera turn on, and turn off after some seconds. The camera is working fine anyway except for this rare fail. Does anybody know what could be the problem ? Thank you. Luis.

if the camera is busy when you press the button it might not turn off right away untill its finished
