Default D7000 Questions???

I been doing some reading and haven't had much luck or don't even know if it is possible. All the menus on the D7000 are very complex so I may have skipped by it.

I am looking to see if there is a way to keep the INFO screen displayed at all times or even when I am getting ready to take a picture. The screen always remains off until I take a photo and then I can see a preview of the picture I took. I would like to be able to look at the INFO screen before I shoot. I realize I can look at the little window on top of the camera for that information.

Is this possible?

Thanks

The on/off button that surrounds the shutter button has three positions,
off / on / and a third position with an icon that looks like a glowing lighbulb...
If you push the on/off switch to the third position a light comes on in the top
LCD screen and the shooting info is displayed on the rear screen as well...
You can also just press the "Info" button at the right bottom corner of the
rear screen to display the shooting info on the rear screen...
