Default I think my D50 died

I got one shot off today then it stopped working.

If I press the shutter release it does not fire and an "ERR" message appears on the info screen. If I press it again the camera fires but no image is recorded. Then the camera seems fine until I press the shutter release again then I'm back to ERR. Anyone have a clue what might be going on here?

I'm including that one shot just for the heck of it.

Great capture! She's such a cutie!

I did a quick search and found this thread that had a few suggestions.

Hope it helps!

Take care,

Thanks I just read it. It seems I'm going to have to take it to somebody. I bought the camera a couple of years ago used its worked great up till now. I'm just worried the repair cost will be more than its worth.
