Duoh!!!!

I feel like Homer as, I totally missed the fact that you listed the lens used at the beginning of each new series of images. It would seem to me, that alone, could account for the differences.

Glad you like the 14-24mm 2.8 lens. I've been reticent about pulling the trigger on anymore lens purchases until I'm totally convinced I 'm going to stay with a cropped sensor camera or go to FF.
So, for the time being, I'm putting the 70-200mm 2.8 thru it's paces. And for some landscape stuff, I've got an old 18-70 that seems okay.

I do miss using my 12-60mm SWD... wish I could somehow use that with the D90.
