Its good to know about that tight fit into the GPS port. Instead of WD40 maybe a little buff from a buffing wheel might take off just the right amount to make it fit better.

Well this thread got me to look up remotes and so with the info here I picked up a Oppilas Wireless Remote today. Before buying it I checked out the tightness of the plug for the GSP port reported in reviews of the device and it fit perfectly, not tight and not loose.

That's good to know...

Maybe there was just a batch of them that the connector was a little out
of spec...?
