Default D5100 sensor clean

Hi,
I have now got the D5100 which I have set to "clean sensor on start up" as I did with my D5000.
However with the D5k I used to get a pulsating circle symbol to show it was cleaning when I switched the camera on. With the D5100 I get no indication at all, so has Nikon changed the system or is it not cleaning , could someone check their D5100 for me, thanks.
I could phone Nikon UK but I have to jump through too many hoops.

Just to answer my own question, in case someone else is interested.
As I did not get any D5100 users check it out, I got onto Nikon UK who checked with a test model they had and replied that the "sensor cleaning animation is not on the D5100 " but that they are going to contact Nikon, because it would appear that others are asking about it as well.
Should have asked Nikon in the first place I guess but asking here can be useful to others as well.
