There's always a good reason to wait and see what's around the corner, but anything you buy right now will run rings around what you've already got, and you'll be that much further along the learning curve than you'd be if you waited.

In my opinion there's a difference between waiting for a camara that MIGHT be around the corner and a camera that is shipping this month. I wouldn't wait for a d300 replacement camera at this point, but if the d600 ships this month and the OP can wait to make a decision for a month there is no harm.

I'm sorry, John. I thought we'd gotten past the D600.

I guess I'm confused.
  1. You suggested the OP look at the d7000.
  2. I suggested they wait to see some real-world test of the D600 which is shipping this month.
  3. You then posted a response that there is "always something around the corner". I believed that was in response to my post about seeing field results from the d600.
So, I'm not sure what you're referring to when you say "I thought we'd gotten past the d600"

Sort of.
  1. kazuya recommended the D7000
  2. wvyankeegurl wrote "You are right, i think i will."
  3. I said that I agree with kazuya.
When you were talking about waiting, I thought you were hinting at some upgrade to the D7000 that you might be privy to.

If you're up for it, I'd be pleased if we just deleted the last few posts here. They don't add anything to the original topic and serve as a distraction more than anything else.
