i hope you enjoy your new camera
i find that if its cloudy or dull you can often bring a bit more life into a photo by adjusting the levels a little bit like this

You are going to love your new Nikon D5100. Play with it for awhile, learn all it's features. You will find that with a good lens it's image quality is on par with the highly respected Nikon D7000. Yes, the Nikon D5100 is really that good.

I have just come from my vacation and I'll post few snaps those I've taken during my vacation. But I'm still failed to take nice pictures in direct sunlight and under the shade. I need experts advise for these these type of situations.
