Congrats on acquiring a great camera. I love the last image you posted.

Nicely done.

Upgraded from D5000 to D7100 a couple of weeks ago. Very impressed. Also got the 55-300 lens, love that thing. I like to shoot for details, texture and structure. Here's something I just did today. No adjustments, though I will say I'm waiting for aperture to get caught up with RAW capabilities, so these are jpeg files, the long shot is reduced to be able to upload, of course. But the crop is 100%

Camera: Nikon D7100
Lens: AF-S DX VR Nikkor 55-300 4.5-5.6G ED
Focal Length: 70mm
Aperture: f10
Shutter: 1/640

That's quite an upgrade, RA.

I meant to ask SlyFox and I'll ask you as well. Have you tried to determine if your camera has the same oil/dust spot issue that the D600/D7000 suffer.
