Default Is this forum fading away?

Is this forum fading away? I haven't been in here awhile and noticed that there are very few members viewing posts. Use to be a LOT more.

Just asking...

I tend to post in the subject specific forums (Landscape, Travel and Transportation). I haven't had too much in the way of technical issues or questions for which this forum tends to be popular. Overall however, participation in forums such as this is on the decline. The Pentax forum which I was active on during my Pentax days used to be very active. I still visit there, but participation in that forum is noticeably down. Even in the subject specific forums, participation and contributions have dwindled. Outlets like Facebook, Twitter and Instagram are popular since folks can look, post a tweet/like, etc and move on to the next fleeting image and all on their smart phone. Changing times, I suppose.

This forum is mostly for hardware discussions, and the Nikon dSLR market has been stable for a while now, so there are no new issues to discuss.

One word for that... lazy!
Like I said before, facebook, twitter, instagram is primarily a gossip center.
I don't frequent those, unless I want to see what is going on with my family and friends that are a long ways away... still gossip, and I don't think old pros don't either.

You should also remember that fewer people are buying cameras now than in years past.
