Default D70's body is not balanced!

With the 18-70 lens, when you put your D70 on the table, you must notice that your baby is not balanced, the lens will lean forward and hit the table!

Almost no dSLR is balanced with a zoom lens on it - and that goes for the very expensive ones too. They only balance with a 50mm prime lens.

...and I thought the asymmetric stitching "problem" was bad enough.

The original post was not intended to be a joke - or did I miss it?

My understanding is that manufacturer's are working on a camera which can be flexed out and in so that you will be able to balance it. It will have the consistancy of play dough, and you just stretch it or compress it - And BINGO, the camera will always be balanced.

Peter, do you think I could get a digital back for my 8X10 Deardorff. Something with maybe a zillion or so pixels. Could you make contact prints direct from the pixels?
