I just purchased the D1x (have 2 weeks to test and return if desire). I tried to use my F5's SB-28 flash on it and found out the D1x does not allow the TTL feature of it.

On other posts I have read that people have problems even with the flash units made for the D1x. Has anyone had this problem? Any recommendations as to which flash to purchase?

If this is going to be a perm problem I may return camera and wait for next generation.

Any feedback would be great !

No problem...you have to use one of these DX flashes in order for the D-TTl to work: Nikon SB-28DX, SB-50DX, SB-80DX, SB-600DX or SB-800DX.
