I have had my D100 since 8/2002, no problems till this morning. The card would not show how many shots were left, just a blank like there is no card there. Also the tft screen will not come on whenI push the menu button. I was able to download the photos on my 1 gig microdrive.

The last file that was shot has 0kb, no info.

I have tried reseting the camera both by the 2 reset buttons and the single reset button on the side. I have also taken the batteries out and see if lack of power would reset it

I have also tried using my Lexar Pro Series 160MB 10X with no avail.

Any ideas. I am going on vacation on Wed

editied: I also have the MBD-100 on the camera

Thanks

John

Can you look inside the CF slot and see if there is a bent pin down there? That could well be the source of your problems. Does the camera turn on at all, shows any info on the top lcd screen, or does the autofocus work on your lenses? I've put my D100 through heavy use since February of last year, so far I haven't had the problems you describe (knock on wood). I hope you can resolve this problem prior to your trip, and if not, at least be able to get a loaner camera. Good luck!

Everything else works.

Autofocus with AF-S and AF-D lenses, onboard flash will go off when I push the shutter button. No slow down in reaction time. The card and the TFT Screen wont work.

Thanks

John

This may be a dumb question but are your batteries fully charged?

Yep, both were charged, and I also tried the AA adapter. I tried it with and without the Vertical adapter as well.

Is anything plugged into the 10 pin port on the MB-100.. Mine will not show the view on the LCD when I plug into this when I use a wireless remote.. But will write to the card.. Better call Nikon..
