Default d100 ERROR MSG F EE

New D-100 with 300 mm 2.8edif II afs set the mi aperture to f22 match orange dots, nothing I've tried clears the error Any Ideas will help ... set a e-mail to nikon , no responce as of yet

You didn't say if it was a "D" or "G" lens. That may have something to do with it. If not, then the "EE" error is usually caused by the aperture not being set to the minimum aperture and locked. This may be f/16, f/22, or f/32 depending on your lens. Also make sure the contacts on the lens are clean. I pensil eraser should do the job there. Just make sure the eraser dust doens't fowl your lens.

Anyone else have any ideas?

Nikon finally got back .... said the lens appears to be bad, so I'm sending the lens back.
