Can the Nikon D70 take a time lapse photo of say 1-2minutes?

When you say time lapse, you mean the shutter will open every so often and you'll have maybe a shot every 30 seconds for 2 minutes ... right?

This functionality is not built into the camera, but the camera can be fired via remote control and via a usb cable to your computer using software call Nikon Capture. Although, this is not an option for the remote or Nikon Capture, I'm sure you could figure something out with some ingenuity. I've heard of people using PDA's as remotes for instance, so I'm sure software is out to fire the remote every so often. As well as you might find out a way to do it through the usb port.

Now, if all you meant was, can the camera do a single long exposure, then yes it can do that easily. You can have the shutter open 30 minutes.

Thanks again. I meant the 30 minute shutter opening.
