Any comments on the Sigma 70-300 apo macro super II with the D70?

Seems very good value, light and the pictures look good at http://www.pbase.com

Do you think that this lens with the kit lens will be adequate for the full range of photography including indoors, ladscapes and macros?

This is an excellent value. It should do well except if you have to do sport shooting.

samcheri,

I have this lens. Like Morris said, if your not going to shoot sports or auto racing its a nice lens for the money.

I agree with the others. Landscapes and macro should be no problem, indoors (especially if you mean sports) will present a challenge with that combo of lens and camera. I've used the combo since June and I can tell you for sports bring a stick because that combo will hunt like a dog before fetching a good pic, especially in low light/night situations.:G
