I am planning on getting a D70 kit before feburuary. Since Nikon has a $100 rebate that expires 12/31 should I buy now or is there a permanent (further) price drop coming?
I would prefer to delay the expense into the next year, but don't really want to pay more.

thanks!

Around Wisconsin you get the $100 rebate AND a $100 rebate on a photo printer.

PERSONALLY? I'd get it now while you have a sure thing.

OR - you can wait until spring when the next generation comes out. Just like computers - you'll ALWAYS be one step behind with Digicams now!

I just got a D70 also, and can give you a little tip. Nikon will offer the rebate again for the period of Jan 1- Mar 31. The guy at the store I ordered from didn't send me the right form, he sent the form for the 2005 rebate. I hope he sends me the right form so I can get the rebate, or I'm out $100.
