I saw that there is a non nikon batterypack to the d70 available, and was wondering if anyone know if there is any dealer for it in europe?
I just found a site in hong kong, a bit to far away for my liking

I noticed that 17th St. Photo in NY ( www.17photo.com ) carried an aftermarket battery for the D70.

I was looking for a verticalgrip/batterypack for the d70, like the MB-D100 to the D100.

This is really great but i didnt find a price. However,I know the d-70 uses the same battery as my husbands d-100 and his battery lasted forever over my cp5700 battery,I did have the battery pack for that with rechargable batteries and that let me shoot worry free,now I am a big user of AC adadptors when Im inside,or outside when Im home,no battery worries at all.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"I was wondering though with a 1gb 80x compact flash card will this drain the battery faster than normal??

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"What I really want is the d-70 to have shutter release capabilities, I wore mine out on my 5700 shooting hummingbirds,I was surpised the d-70 has to rely on a remote unit,another peice of equipment to deal with,I just hope it last' more than a year,well thank goodness their pretty cheep.

style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: #000000"Thanks for the link!!!
