hey,

i was in the store and i tried to use the d-70 without the flash popping up.

I know it does that when it senses that you need it, but is there a way to make sure that you can take a picture without the flash popping up when you do not want it to.

I do not want to have to tape the pop-up flash down when it thinks that i need it. i hate flash.

thanks.:|

In automatic modes the flash will pop-up when needed (no choice there). But the best way to use this camera is not in auto, it is in Aperture priority or Shutter priority mode. In those mode the flash pop-up only if you press the small button at the left of the flash.
