I see the D70 only goes down to an ISO of 200?

My 5400 does an ISO of 50, I love ISO of 50 just because It has such low noise. Is the D70 going to have more noise in my shots with an ISO rating of 200 being the lowest?

I would expect less noise in a D70 at 200 ISO than a 5400 at 50 ISO. The D70 has a bigger sensor which means less noise. The reason that it doesn't have a slower ISO setting than 200 is that Nikon believe that there is no improvement in quality by shooting any slower.

Be sure to take it off the default "Auto ISO" though. I got some wild results - iso 1600 in the afternoon once - before I did that!

On the other hand Auto ISO works good in shutter priority because it allows the cam to use ISO speeds in between the ones you can set manually like ISO 700.

But by default, turn it off.
