When I am not using my D70, should I remove the lens and put the covers on, or can the lens stay on the camera?

Leave the lens on the camera if I was you. The more you take the lens off the more dust can get in and stick to the sensor. Always hold the camera with the lens pointing down when you do change it, if you have more than one lens that is. If not, let sleeping Nikons lie.

Hi Ratf,

LikeCameranserai just said, " Leave the lens on and only take it off if you ever get another lens to change it. When you do remove it you should make sure the camera is turned off because an active sensor will attract dust Etc. Don't do IT ever on a windy day at the beach.
