Hello all,

I am shooting My D70 in the Adobe RGB 1998 color mode. When I open these images in Photoshop 7 on my Mac, it says; (example) "The RGB document "_DSC0525.JPG" does not have an embedded color profile".
I upgraded the firmware last week and the problem persists. Can I just assign Adobe RGB 1998 as the profile and continue on as I have been or am I missing part of the color gamut when I do so because it is not recognized as the proper file in the first place? When I open it in Nikon Capture 4 it is listed as Color Mode II Adobe RGB, so I assume the camera itself is fine and the problem is with Photoshop 7. Any suggestions?

Thank you,

Curt

I'm not sure, but check your preferences. Photoshop allows you to set a working mode, and you can select the Adobe option, or others. Or you might have PS to automatically transform your images into a set color mode. This sounds like a preferences problem.
