hail,

I wanted to know because with the my D100 and the Flash SB-80DX could not select the mode FP how come?
I have selected the D100 in a manual mode way but the flash is not selected in FP !

Default And another question

I have recently acquired the SB-80 flash for my D100. I set the flash to the TTL mode as I read in the manual to work with the digital camera. It works but, being that I am a VERY NOVICE PHOTOGRAPHER - I have yet another question. I was taking some photo's of someone standing in front of our sliding door. I used the external flash and had the camera set on the P mode. Obviously, I messed up. My subject is very dark and the view outside of the sliding door turned out nice! I guess I misread both manuals on how to set the camera and flash?

To all of you much more expierence photographers -I welcome your advice to help me to become a better photographer. Thanks in advance!

Default D100 help

Sunny, see the thread below on D100 books. I ordered it on Scorpiofish's reccemendation and found it to be much more helpful than the Nikon manual. It's full of Do's and don'ts, and even more importantly give you the Why's. Give it a look.

Sorry, Arcadinoe, What is FP mode?

FP mode is FP High-speed flash Sync
the time of release could be mailed faster than 1/ 180s setting the nikon in a manual mode!
unfortunately it to me don't work me whit D100, instead with the Nikon F100 works all ok

happy new year

On page 106 of the D100 owners manual under the "read the speedlight manual" Nikon states that the D100 does not support FP high speed synch.
