Check the back of the charger if it says 100V - 240V.

If yes, you're OK, just make sure you have the correct plug-attachment handy.

Cheers,

Achim

You can my a power converter at Radio Shack or Wal-mart. Plug the converter into the wall and the charger into the converter. I used one in 2003 on my trip thru Europe. No problems. But the woman who plugged her "USA only" hair dryer in directly to the outlet nearly started a fire.

The MH-18 is good for worldwide use (100-240V), all you need is a plug adapter as Demokrit mentioned. Most appliances are not so worldly, like the hair drier. An AC adapter from Japan, for example, that is rated at 100V only, outputting 6V DC, once plugged into a 120V outlet will output a higher DC voltage.

I would hope you will have extra batteries with you. You can buy clones off ebay for just a few dollars each.
