currently its the 600mm f/4D ED-IF AF-S II Nikkor. it goes out at around $9000US

then you need to invest in a good tripod and head to support it at another $800-$1000

not a true hand held lens

wow pretty much money....i think nikons digiscoping can do more on mm...about a thousan...SLR are at 1500mm and Coolpix can be used 2....i think its a good scope...a good attachment for slr and coolpix...
