I am interested in comments on the followingto be used with the D50 as a primary lens:

- Nikon 24-120mm f/2.5-5.6G ED IF Autofocus VR
- SIGMA LENS 18-125mm F3.5-5.6 DC
- 18-70mm Nikkor Lens
- Nikon 28-100mm f/3.5-5.6 Autofocus Nikkor Lens
- Nikon 24-85mm f/3.5-4.5G ED-IF AutoFocus Zoom Nikkor Lens
- Nikon 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5D Autofocus Zoom Nikkor Lens
- Tamron 18-200 and Sigma 28-200

I have the 24-120 VR for my D70 and love it. Great range and the pics are nice and sharp. I am able to get clear shots at 120mm and 1/20 shutter speed handheld. Take a look at this pic:

I have no experience with the others in your list. I have been impressed with some of Sigma's lenses though.

Hi I use the Sigma 28-200mm zoom. Overall I happy with the lens. It is small for its range (eq 42-300 with film), give fairly sharp pics and didn't cost my right arm. I use it on the D70s John K
