I tried a bunch of lenses looking for something decent to shoot wildlife. I finally decided to spend the money and grab the 80-400 VR and love it. Yes the focus is fairly slow, but being able to hand hold in average light and being able to carry it with out breaking my back I am very pleased. I get lots of keepers with this lens.
