Hi Steve, I see the D200 & D100 have just about the same sensor size.

23.6 for the D200

23.7 for the D100

The D200 has 4.1 more MPG's then the D100 on the same size CCD

Won't that mean more noise at a higher ISO?

&&& When are you going to test the D200?????

You are correct D200 has "DX" sized sensor and more megapixels so there is more noise,
however D200 has newer sensor and better noise removal systems so the numbers dont tell the whole truth.

If image noise is the only factor then the Nikon D50 may be the best of all Nikon cameras.

I never owned a D100 but high ISO noise on my D200 is considerably lower than my D70/D70s were. Although my D2Hs is better than all of them.

The D200 also has 100 and 3200 ISO available, giving you a little more flexibility in regards to noise control through more ISO options.
