I was thinking about getting a D200 but in some of reviews I have read I heard that there are some problems with the first batch and they recommend waiting until the second batch is out. Has any one else heard this ?
How wide spread is this problem?
Thanks for the help

Some have mentioned some hot pixels, but I don't know that it is widespread. The d200 is sold out virtually everywhere, so you'd likely be getting the "2nd batch" if you're able to purchase one anytime soon.

The problem I heard of was "banning" (hope I remembered the right term). I also heard alot of the 1st batch was being recalled. But of course with the internet you have to watch what you read.
Thanks for the help

Actually the term is banding, and you're right this has been mentioned. However, from what I've read this occurs only rarely and in specific situations, usually as a result of poor exposure (overexposure to be specific) which would render the image useless anyway.
