Just wondering if anyone has experienced the infamous banding issue on their D200??

This is basically a non issue. It is exposure related.....when an image is badly overexposed, one may see banding in areas of solid color. Usually, the overexposure would render the image useless to begin with.

Banding IS an issue with current D-200's . I returned mine because it had moderate banding at anything over ISO 200 in any type of high contrast situation. It also had two stuck/hot pixels that glowed bright red at anything over 1/8 second at ISO 400 and up. I plan to wait until the problem is actually fixed, and then buy this camera. It DOES produce fantastic images!

And I would say the subject in this image is overexposed and would be unusable with or without the banding. However, the stuck pixel issue has been raised before, and I would consider this to be a bigger issue.
