Hey geoff...

I called today to advisethe extended warranty company about the changed camera bodyand they confirmed again that the original body serial number is different than this new one lol...shew ...

still weird that they took a new body and stuck it in the box ... but its definately a different camera ..sure hope :roll:its not someone else's problem and they just switched camera bodies lol... ahh well that will be another thread LOL

Decided to join the gang- another proud owner of a D50!! with standard lens kit 18-55mm...
Tried some test shots indoors under low ambient light...no wonder there exists such a thing as a 50mm f/1.8...haha...

Have had my D50 for several months now and love it! I bought it with the kit 18-55mm lens, and find that good for most of my purposes. I also have bought the 50mm 1.8 lens, and some day will acquire something with a larger focal length.

The attached pic was one I took of one of our cats when she was playing hide and seek in our garden. Here I used the 18-55mm lens with the A setting.

hmm, got it yesterday and i have a hot pixel (Sometimes 2) :S allways at the same place ofcourse

live with it? or ask for a new one?

ask for a new one. better to address it now than later when the excitement of getting a new toy has worn off and you are begining to get annoyed with the imperfection. That's when you will be trundled off to service.
