Mooshie2,

I'm still amazed at this Great waterfall shot.

I'll just bet you are now taking photos for some Prestigous magazine huh?

Got any tips for using a Nikon D50? Will appreciate any tips or advice. Cannot take an indoor shot worth a nickle. Advice? Settings to use, etc.

Thank you for your time.

Hi everyone! i'm a new owner myself I received the d50as a birthday present this spring and i love it! I have been taking pictures all summer and i can't stop! i have the kit 28-80 and the 50-200mm lens. right now i am lusting after the 50mm f/1.8 prime lens. I think this forum is great and it's so nice to see all these great pictures from so many talented people.

divertwo, use a tripod or a higher ISO. or a fast prime like a 30mm 1.4 (by sigma) or a 50mm 1.8 (nikon). good pictures are not made because you have a good camera, but because you yourself have a good eye for them good luck

ibninja, congratulations the 50 1.8 really is a cute lens and i can recommend it

I'm going to step it up from theKodak Z7590 to the D50. Was about to get another Kodak point and shoot but decided to spend an extra $300 or so to make myself happy. Going to Disney in a couple of weeks and would love to have it with me.

? for all of you that have it now. How long is your battery life and what size memory stick do you currently have?

Hi Bursie ,

Battery life is very good ... more then a 1000 shots before recharge and the D50 doesn`t use memory stick but SD, i have a 2gb high speed card good for 560 shots in highest jpeg.

I see you are a UT fan.... i play too.

Bursie, i get around 1000 to 1200 shots per charge. since april i think i have charged it maybe 3-4 times that's it! i have a little under 4000 shots from that camera which coming from a simple point and shoot canon a80 i was charging that battery every other day or so. i don't think that an extra battery in needed. it also charges within 2 hours,I love it. also i have a 1 gig and a 512 both high speed and i shoot raw most of the time. i feel that over 1 gig there just not as fast but i do want to get another 1 gig or maybe a portable hard drive in the future.
