have tried to see the difference when playing around with the Dynamic area focus setting. It seems in Dynamic area focus - you select which of the five sensors you want the camera to focus - and it still blurs the other four anyhow, like it isn't tracking properly in dynamic mode - just like single area focus should work and does. I almost think that the dynamic area focus is not working properly. Anyone else experience this ?

Which lens?

If the kit lens 18-55mm f/3.5, the Depth Of Field is not quite shallow, and cannot notice much diff whether an object is in or out of focus.

In dynamic area you select the focussensor and it locks on the subject in that area. It should then track the subject and keep it in focus, if the subject moves to another focussensor it should follow and use that focus sensor to keep it in focus. It doesn't change the creen display to show which sensor is currently in use.

I will have to play with this some more and see if it does track the object after it moves out of the center when in dynamic mode.
