Hi, I sometime shoot Raw using the D50and then convert to 8bit using photoshop elements. The problem I have is trying to print the colors I see on the monitor even ifIsave in another format. Do I needa special color profile to print raw as I see it on screen. The Jpeg file printslike I see it.

RAW or JPG should print the same. But it may be that the "color space" of your RAW files differ from those of your JPG images. In other words, they might be in Adobe RGB, while the JPEGs are in sRGB, or even something completely different.

This is my first suggestion. Let us know what you find.

I don't have much time to test but after I installed a trial version of nikon capture I can now print what I see. If I open in photoshop elements . it will use the nikon capture to process the file but it will still print what I see. I checked the color space and it was the same as the jped file. I will have to wait after the trial expire and see what happens since installed it after my first post.

Thanks
