I need some suggestions on 50mm to 70mm very low light lenses. I'm taking shots of live bands for promotional use. I won't be able to use a flash, but I can be very close to the band. I use a D70s, and I dont want to jump up the ISO if I can help it. Even though neat image works like a charm. So lets hear about the best out there.
Thanks Blues |

You can't beat the Nikon 50mm f/1.8. It's cheap (under $100 used), sharp and excellent in low light.

WOW!!!! You guys were right, just got the lense today. Took it to a club, and just with the stage lights, my pic's were sharper then I thought possible. Never had to touch the ISO, and left the flash in my bag. Thanks for the suggestion.
Oh yeah, I only paid 104.00 USD. Best bargain I got in a long time. Thanks again Blues |
